Brand New Day

Friday, March 10th, 2006

Today is a brand spankin’ shiny new day.  I talked to someone from the government today, they told me that I was NOT being audited for some reason and would be getting the full amount of my return.  My cheque will be here in a few days.  I’m going to celebrate by paying off a chunk of my student loan from college.Soon is Canoeing

In a couple of weeks the snow will be melted off!  I don’t think Virginia and I are going back to Missanabie this summer…which seems weird, but we are still looking forward to living so close to Lake Superior Provincial Park.  I think I’d like to plan a canoeing trip this summer…maybe a Kayak, we’ll see.  My adventurous spirit is beckoning me onward to great things.  With school finished soon, I will have more time to plot said adventures and can hopefully come up with something epic to do.  Next weekend Virginia and I are going to Marion and Ohio to visit some people for a couple of days.  This is going to be a good trip.  I can tell.

Stuffing Our Faces

Friday, March 10th, 2006

NathanKrisEat I found this picture of Nathan and I stuffing rolls into our  faces.  It reminded me of good times…I can’t say better times, because times keep getting better.  I have a more positive outlook on things.  As I recall, when this picture was taken I didn’t even know Virginia…and now she is one of my three pillars.  Anyway, this came from Nathan’s Site IRON-CARBON.  At the risk of being sappy and sentimental, I’m going to stop typing now.  I want my Blog to be more MACHO!

Logicrap

748-80x40For the most part my remote has worked good for the last while. I have been more than satisfied with it, until LOGITECH bought out the company that runs the online update. This is a clip from an email I got from them, “…after the download freezes just unplug the Harmony Remote from your computer and then take out the batteries of the Harmony and put them back in…” I just though that was funny. At any rate I replied with some things I won’t post here and had my fun…life goes on :)

Good grades for a Good boy

Thursday, March 9th, 2006

My Paper on Spacial Interactions of Muslim Cultures got a 100%. It was worth enough of my final mark to make me smile. It’s posted here for everyone to read. I wrote it about the Danish Cartoon fiasco that has been so redundant in the media lately. My next one is going to be even better. With only a month of school left the work is pouring on…but life is good.

I am now the executive of a company…

Wednesday, March 8th, 2006

So, as you now know (if you have read the previous post… if not, do it now. NOW!), Kris and I have started a basket company for me. I am pretty excited about this, because it is something that I like doing that could actually turn into something substantial. It would be pretty sweet to be my own boss. Anyhow… what else is new? Check out my personal blog at http://www.snorkelady.blogspot.com to find out, and don’t forget to leave a comment! - Vee

Meadowsweet!

Wednesday, March 8th, 2006

The Meadowsweet Basket Company is Virginia’s brand new company! We decided to capitalize off of her hobby
for a while and have some fun while doing it. It’s in the very early developmental stage right now…but go check it out!

Lost!

Wednesday, March 8th, 2006

Oh my Goodness!

Have I mentioned that lost is the greatest show on TV? The numbers, The conspiracy! It’s all too much to handle. What fun…Anyway…Virginia and I are hooked and you should be too. You can Download them from a torrent site. It took me about a week with Rogers high speed.

I recommend using
uTorrent.

It works well and is very fast. Keep watching the stars!

Reading Week

Wednesday, March 8th, 2006

Reading week is here. If you happen to be a yankee…that is Canadian for “Spring Break.” At any rate, it’s been an exciting week. I phoned someone from my past and they became someone from my present. I closed the book on a painfull thing, then opened it back up and just started a new chapter called “Not Painful Anymore.” Peter Schott phoned and I got to talk to him. Oh…and I downloaded Season1 1 of LOST…what a great show. Vee and I watched like 6 episodes last night…yes that is 5 hours of TV…My mom is coming today…mama “P”…not “C”…she comes in a week or so. Anyhoo…Abby is coming too! She’s a super gal!
