The Barista in Me

As some of you know, I am a certified European Barista.  I took a coffee tasting course and learned how to make many premium beverages.  It has been about 3 years since I’ve owned my own machine though.  The last one I had was worth about 3000 dollars, so I sold it and bought backpacking gear which went with me to Belize, Florida, North Carolina, The Dominican Republic and of Course most recently; Lake Superior Provincial Park.

Now I present you: My 20 dollar Hamilton Beach from the pawn shop…

Update: The coffee maker works great, it doesn’t make a good crema…but I think that can be mended by finding a better, more freshly ground bean.

Buy Fair Trade Coffee. Buy Shade Grown Coffee. Take the Stairs.

Notice the mint vintage mug to the left of the machine… ahhh… one of my passions is vintage kitchen ware! And housewares in general….

We would love to partake in your wares. Joel has taken to roasting his own beans in a popcorn maker he bought from the VV boutique. Please give us another shout. It seems we are playing phone tag.

I agree. Your coffee maker rules!
Taking the stairs I can see. I have always taken the stairs to your apartment.

Tis a mint vintage mug. Nice nicings. I also have a vintage coffee mug or two, although they may just be classified as old.

I’ll take two grande mochas with a sprinkle of hazlenut on the stop. Just kidding give me strong, black, pure coffee.

    Do you deliver?

I myself have sampled the wares from the famous Stubbes home. From the delights of a peanut butter mocha to a plain latte, Kris has the gift. Don’t forget Virginia has the perfect compliment, her desert cakes are fantastic. They even had a house menu!!!
I can’t wait to sip the finest beverages in the best of company. My dear son and daughter in law.
