So people in the news have taken to bitching about dual citizens in Lebanon sucking up tax payer money during the evacuation when Israel bombarded the country.  Hitting civilian targets to root out cowardly men who hide behind women and children.

I don’t know which is worse…killing civilians…or cowering behind them.

At any rate…as Canadians…we should be proud of our diversity and our willingness to hold people under our protectorate that live abroad throughout the world.  People should stop whining about this kind of crap…so the 38 cents that it cost each of us to evacuate several thousand people might break the bank for someone before the depression…times have changed eh?

The biggest problem with the entire evacuation…was that people on the other side were complaining that it didn’t happen fast enough…a free ticket to safety for someone who isn’t paying taxes to the country rescuing them is something that shouldn’t be taken for granted.  Our government took responsibility for it’s people and did the best it could…complaining is inappropriate.
