Take hold of something

2006-09-11 080

School is starting again soon and I don’t even know what day of the week it is.  Sometimes it seems we either spend our time wallowing in the crapulence of our past or fretting about the uncertainty of our future.  Why would someone even go out their door when that’s how they feel?  One becomes detached from their friends and distant from their lovers and yet all the while knows exactly what’s missing…without ever being able to just take hold of it and move onward.  How do we stop.  Find balance.  Feel good about ourselves.  Does anyone actually feel beautiful without being narcissistic?  Does anyone feel accomplishment without flouting pride?

Is there balance?  Stop.  Wait…there it is.

Doing things we do not wish to do.  Washing the dishes, going to that place with that person, meeting so-and-so for lunch, buying someone dinner…on goes the list.  Find the things you feel you should do but don’t want to and do them, there is your balance.

There is thinking you’re beautiful, and for the record…you are.

I haven’t had time to read you’re entry here so I’ll just let you know that I was going to have a fire and couldn’t…so, I am planning to invite you two to watch a chick flick with me like KILL BILL VOLUMES ONE AND TWO or What’s Eating Gilbert Grape which is a girl movie too.

DudE! I was going to watch Kill Bill with my neice and nephew…(Age 4 and 2) and my sister said that was innapropriate..so I suggested reservoir dogs…no go! Needless to say we ended up watching branyard and even that was a bit scary for them…damn coyotes.

Kill Bill is a real tear jerker….I’d love to watch it with you man…or silence of the lambs.

Ah, Dude! Now that I’ve read your entry here I would tend to agree. I find that doing the dishes or taking out my Christmas tree and cleaning up after is relaxing, somehow. Totally, though I see your point about how running away from my responsibilities won’t make them go away. It is good to get those nasty jobs done.

Whatever…Silence of the Lambs sounds good. I saw it a while back, but I’ve never seen Resrvoir Dogs.
