Cambiar
Cambiar – (v) To Change.
My father and I are a lot alike. Even though we grew up apart, we share similar traits. Some of them I inherit for the sake of admiration manifesting itself in the form of imitation and others I would place more in the realm of “habits” not entirely good or bad. (such as treating the gas pedal with more favour than the brake)
I moved to live with my father when I was the ripe intolerable age of 16. What I mean to say is that I was on the cusp of rebellion. Now we’re neighbours, at least living in neighbouring cities…rather I live in a city (barely) and he lives in the “back-40” of the boon-docks. All in all, it’s been kind of nice living in the Soo, near family. Nice enough to grow some roots, or at least put the roots I’ve had in a plastic pot for 6 years into some soil. Some ‘Soo’il if I may.
