New Compy Spot 018

I moved my computer…for something new.  I don’t imagine this is groundbreaking news for any of you, but at the end of the day…

The feet belong to Virginia and I.
They are my wife’s and mine.
I’ve worn her shoes, they are purple Uggs.
Now I know.  What it feels like to walk in them.
Imagine a man tramping around in purple Uggs.

Sidewalks

We push our way through tunnels cut in snow.  Each step slipping, losing ground.  It gets tiresome as the cold sets in and we persist, because it’s all we know.  Pressing forward through what the world has to throw at us.  We look back from time to time and wonder how we get where we’re going through such arduity.  Have we help from others?  The motorists who pas by the salted slush piles and share them so readily with us.  Have we need of others?  Bundled so tightly nothing of them can be seen but the chill in their squinting eyes.  There was a time I relished the feeling of snow under my back while I let the flakes melt in my eyes.

Another day, to believe…just breathe.  Another day.  Just believe.  Another day.  Just breathe.  Another day.  Just believe.  Another day.  Just breathe.  I’m used to it by now.  Another day, staring at the ceiling.  Just breathe.

Simplicity be adored, I wish for it now.

A night of fun

Sunday, February 10th, 2008

Last night, our realm crashed.  So we decided to have some fun and went to another server and collected coins to get matching dresses.

Noob01
We danced in Ironforge

Noob02
And worshiped our new found god

Noob03
Then tried to walk to Stormwind…

Noob04
But got tired and went back to Ironforge.

Noob05

By the time we got there, our server was up so we went home.

Highking

I’m sure we’re all tired of World of Warcraft related posts, I’m not sure I care.  my guild killed a 25 man raid boss this weekend on our second attempt.

School is going well also.

Journey

Friday, February 1st, 2008

Last night I forced myself to watch “The Comebacks.”  It was without a doubt the worst movie I’ve seen since anything else based entirely on boob and fart jokes.  It’s only redeeming quality was the inclusion of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing.”  It reminded me of a time when the world was a better place.  Well, maybe it was quite the same as it is now…only manifested in a much more “spandex” oriented fashion.  I had also just watched “The Invasion” starring a nice young lady named Nicole Kidman.  Journey drove home the point of the previous movie.

Though I don’t consider myself a small town girl…the world is a lonely place without human emotions.  We can argue all day that war and crime are bad…but the reality is that they are a manifestation of uncontrolled human passion.  Murder, suicide, love, kindness; they are all manifestations of human passion and though some appear more grotesque…they all come from the same place.  Suffering makes us who we are.  This isn’t an invitation for people to define themselves by their suffering and become professional victims, but to simply acknowledge that Paul’s statements were universally true…for Christians, Jews, Muslims and Atheists alike.  (if you happen to belong to a minor religion, please substitute one of the previously listed ones with your own)(yes atheism is a religion..don’t be stupid)

We rejoice in our suffering because suffering produces perseverance, perseverance; character and character hope.  Hope doesn’t dissapoint us because God has poured out his love into our hearts.

Some of the most beautiful people I know, love and respect were produced by a life of suffering and trials.  Broken homes, loved ones lost, shattered hearts and bruised bodies made us who we are.

For the record “fart” is not in my spell checker’s dictionary?  What the crap…
