Fish Catching
Tuesday, June 12th, 2007It’s been a good year for catching fish. So far I’ve eaten a Lake Trout, a Pickerel and a Northern Pike all taken from the waters by my hand. Here’s a photo of my pickerel.

Peace.

It’s a TV revolution!
When I read this letter, a little bit of vomit came into my mouth…

Dear Dr. Taylor:
Although we, the undersigned, are not members of the National Association of Evangelicals, our organizations interface with it regularly and consider it to be an important Christian institution in today’s culture. From that perspective, we are writing the Board of Directors to call attention to what we perceive as a threat to the unity and integrity of the Association. The issue that is dividing and demoralizing the NAE and its leaders is related to global warming, resulting from a relentless campaign orchestrated by a single individual in the Washington office, Richard Cizik, vice president of government relations. While many of us consider Richard to be a friend, he regularly speaks without authorization for the entire organization and puts forward his own political opinions as scientific fact.
You don’t understand the goodness. Colby might, he’s Haitian. Most North Americans cannot begin to fathom how great of a cook my Virginia is. She made an asparagus puree pasta sauce for supper last night and I transcended into a higher plane of culunarity.
It is indeed difficult to comprehend and sadly, I’m not sharing the recipe with anyone lest it become common.
Seriously though people. I’ve been on a natural food kick for a few weeks now. (on and off since it’s damn hard) Now I reject processed foods. Life is better without them. Furthermore, I reject grocery store meat and candy.
When you get a chance, pursue culinary cleanliness and cook your own dinner and bake your own bread. My next project is French bread and Indian Nan. Then I’m learning to make tortillas.

Today is a brand spankin’ shiny new day. I talked to someone from the government today, they told me that I was NOT being audited for some reason and would be getting the full amount of my return. My cheque will be here in a few days. I’m going to celebrate by paying off a chunk of my student loan from college.
In a couple of weeks the snow will be melted off! I don’t think Virginia and I are going back to Missanabie this summer…which seems weird, but we are still looking forward to living so close to Lake Superior Provincial Park. I think I’d like to plan a canoeing trip this summer…maybe a Kayak, we’ll see. My adventurous spirit is beckoning me onward to great things. With school finished soon, I will have more time to plot said adventures and can hopefully come up with something epic to do. Next weekend Virginia and I are going to Marion and Ohio to visit some people for a couple of days. This is going to be a good trip. I can tell.

By some malfortunate turn of events people have been asking me to build websites for them…now I have no time to work on my own. I feel like it’s 6 years ago and everyone and their dog wants computer help from the “Programmer” sometimes I am greatfull for the opportunity to fix things for people…up until they pay me…or don’t.
Needless to say, my own website seems to be on hold…due to the overhwhelming workload I have. Getting 6-20 hits a day doesn’t give me much motivation to keep it dynamic either. I want to make a shopping section soon…where people cn order the baskets my wife is so fabulous at making…stay tuned.
The sufferings that are endured patiently, as being inevitable, become intolerable the moment it appears there might be an escape. Reform then only serves to reveal more closely what still remains oppressive and now all the more unbearable. The suffering, it is true, has been reduced, but one’s sensitivity has become more acute.
